Open the Door at Glasgow Women’s Library

Really looking forward to the inaugural Open the Door Festival of women’s writing at Glasgow Women’s Library on Saturday 13 May.

From 1-4pm I will be taking part in Open the Door: Words with Women Writers, chatting with new and established writers including Ajay Close, Leila Aboulela, Kaite Smith-Welsh, Jo Clifford, Nadine Aisha Jassat, Laura Waddell and Jen Hadfield while indulging in a literary Afternoon Tea.

From 4-6pm there is a free networking event with writers, publishers and agents showcasing Scottish women’s writing.

From 6-8pm there is a Herland special  – a sisterly salon cum cabaret featuring Val McDermid, Sim Bajwa, Kirsty Logan, Louise Welsh, Maggie O’Farrell, Ishbel McFarlane and Lesley McDowell. Also cocktails, mocktails and literary inspiration. It will be a blast.
