I am in lockdown in Cromarty, North East Scotland, so rather than the usual party, I took him out for my daily walk to visit some of the sights.
These include the beach, the oil rigs in the Cromarty Firth and a meeting with local hero, Hugh Miller who began life as a stonemason just like Solomon Farthing’s namesake – Old Mortality.
