My piece for the Guardian Weekend Magazine based on the research I did for, The Other Mrs Walker.
The Curious Case of Mr Lobban follows the real-life mystery of an elderly man who died in Edinburgh in 2012 with no next of kin and a question mark over his true identity.
It profiles the individuals who look after people who die in such circumstances and is based on interviews I conducted with police officers, mortuary staff, bereavement officers, ministers and celebrants whom I first met when doing research for my novel, The Other Mrs Walker.
