26 Writers in Residence

Delighted to be taking part in 26 Writers in Residence brought to you by writers collective, 26.

Over five weeks from 7 June, twenty-six new pieces of writing will be released celebrating the overlooked or the everyday.

I was randomly matched with the letter, T and wrote a sestude inspired by a grave I found in the Dean Cemetery, Edinburgh.

Thomas Beach’s Grave was written in memory of Thomas Beach, formerly of Leith, Edinburgh, emigrated to Revelstoke in Canada before returning to the Western Front in WW1. He died near Ypres in 1916.
