Waterstones Scottish Book of the year

In November 2017, The Other Mrs Walker was named Waterstones Scottish Book of the Year at a ceremony in the Sauchiehall Street branch in Glasgow. An exclusive special edition of the novel was produced with red sprayed edges, red end pages and gold stars on the cover. It was available only to Waterstones customers across the UK and sold out by Christmas that year.

The success of the novel led to me being shortlisted as a Breakthrough Author in the Books Are My Bag Readers Awards and Highly Commended as a Rising Star in the DIVA Literary Awards 2017. The Other Mrs Walker was also nominated for the Edinburgh International Book Festival First Book Award in 2016 and selected as an iTunes and Blackwells Book of the Month.

My short fiction has also been shortlisted or longlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Highlands and Islands Short Story Association, the Sceptre Prize for New Writing, the Cinnamon Press Novel Award, New Writing Ventures and the Daily Telegraph Novel in a Year.
