Co-Chair: Society of Authors Scottish National Committee

I have been elected to serve as the co-chair of the Society of Authors in Scotland.

The Society of Authors in Scotland is the country’s largest membership organisation providing a voice for individual writers of all forms and genres.

Our members range from translators and illustrators, to non-fiction writers and spoken word poets.

Alongside fellow novelist, Helen Sedgwick, I will take the reins in steering our national union, representing the interests of over 1000 members in Scotland.

Together we will campaign for authors rights across both the commercial and public literary sectors, including on rates of pay, fair work, funding and other concerns.
