Amnesty Imprisoned Writers at Book Week Scotland

Celebrate Book Week Scotland with this event at Amnesty International’s new Scottish bookshop in Edinburgh.

Amnesty International Imprisoned Writers Readings brings together a group of authors to read the work of those who cannot be with us during Book Week Scotland because they have been imprisoned, tortured, disappeared or even killed for expressing their thoughts in words.

Join us to celebrate freedom of expression and hear powerful poetry and prose from those who have been persecuted for sharing their work on the page.
