What a pleasure it was to take part in the Momentum Literature Showcase 2018 alongside writers Malachy Tallak and Daniel Shand.
We were lucky enough to be invited to read to delegates from Rwanda, Jamaica, Ireland, China, Nigeria, Canada, Kenya and Pakistan, followed by a very interesting Q&A/conversation amongst us all.
The event was hosted by my local bookshop, Golden Hare Books and provided a great opportunity to give a flavour of the breadth and diversity of Scottish writing and place it in an international context.
Every year this international delegate programme brings cultural figures from around the world to Edinburgh to build relationships and engage with our wonderful Festival City and the wider Scottish cultural sector.
The programme is run by the British Council, Festivals Edinburgh and Creative Scotland.
