Big thanks to all at Dundee Lit Fest for making my event last Wednesday such a great success.
Picadors and Proofs – featuring The Other Mrs Walker – was a sell out and it was a real thrill to meet all the participants who had taken the time to read the book. Lots of great discussion about titles and covers, genre and genealogy, endings and beginnings, and the secrets that all families hold.
Perhaps my favourite bit of feedback out of lots of enthusiastic comments was, ‘have you ever met my mother-in-law?’ Mentioned in relation to my character Barbara Penny who seemed to inspire recognition in several readers.
Thank you again to the wonderful Peggy Hughes for hosting me and for everyone who came along. It was a great way to start my journey with Mrs Walker and all the rest.
