What a lovely evening we had at the BAMB Readers Awards at Foyles in London on 21 November.
It was a real pleasure to be invited to the Awards do by my publisher, Maria Reijt at Mantle, to celebrate The Other Mrs Walker having been shortlisted in the Breakthrough Author category.
The eventual winner was the incomparable Kate Tempest for her novel, The Bricks That Built The Houses. Massive congratulations to a wonderful artist on a deserved win.
Meantime, me and Mrs Walker had a very good evening celebrating the fact of even being there at all. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to vote for us and to cheer her on. She and I appreciate the support very much indeed.
