Thank you Book Week Scotland

Thank you Dundee Central Library, Falkirk Library and Waterstones West End for helping me and Mrs Walker celebrate Book Week Scotland in style.

Book Week Scotland is the annual celebration of all things books, brought to us by the Scottish Book Trust. Every year it bring together readers, writers, librarians, booksellers, schools, community organisations and so many others to share in the joy that is reading.

I was lucky enough to be involved in three Book Week Scotland events:-

An intimate book group at Waterstones on Princes Street, Edinburgh where we drank tea, discussed The Other Mrs Walker and came away with little parcels.

An afternoon of book chat at Dundee Central Library, introducing Mrs Walker to new readers and looking at some of the objects that appear in the pages of the novel.

A celebratory evening at Falkirk Library, launching their involvement in the Hurricane Book Club and taking a lucky dip into Mrs Walker’s suitcase of little things to illuminate the contents of the book and how I came to write it.

Thank you to everyone who came along, to all those who made the events happen behind the scenes, and to Book Week Scotland itself. What a wonderful thing to celebrate as a country!
