Edinburgh Book Fringe 2025: Lucy Ribchester & Richard Strachan

Join me and two fabulous Edinburgh novelists for a FREE event as part of the 2025 Edinburgh Book Fringe.

We will be in conversation at the lovely Argonaut Books in Leith, delving into the authors’ new Edinburgh set novels.

In Murder Ballad, Lucy Ribchester conjures all the taste, smells, sex and venom of Edinburgh’s musical society of the 1790s. What does it take for a woman’s desires and talent to be heard.

In The Unrecovered, Richard Strachan locates us at the tail end of WW1 inside the gloomy fortress of Gallondean on the wild West Lothian coast. Does terror lie embedded in the landscape, or are the demons within.
