Ever thought of joining a book group, but wondered what it might be like?
National Reading Groups Day takes place on Saturday 15 June and to mark it I’ll be joining East Ayrshire Libraries for a fun event celebrating all things reading and reading groups.
I’ll be giving a talk about my debut novel, The Other Mrs Walker and how it has proved both a popular, and sometimes controversial, choice for reading groups in Scotland and across the UK.
There will also be afternoon tea with scones and jam, a glass of fizz, and the opportunity to browse the collection of book group reads for future borrowing.
The event runs from 1-3.30pm on Saturday 15 June at The Dick Institute, Elmbank Avenue, Kilmarnock KA1 3BU. Tickets are £10 from East Ayrshire Libraries. Do come along.
