Royal High Writer in Residence 2013

Delighted to be back as Writer in Residence at the Royal High School in Edinburgh on behalf of the Edinburgh International Festival. 

For the next four weeks I am working with two groups of fourth, fifth and sixth year students exploring the theme of war (a Festival theme in 2014 to mark the centenary of the beginning of World War 1).

We are using Guillaume Apollinaire’s calligrammes as our inspiration – poems where form and content meet – aiming to produce some of our own by the last session.
